I provide a confidential space of unconditional positive regard for individuals to process and heal. Ages 2 to 102, no matter what stage of life you are in, I choose my approach based on your needs and goals. Some clients simply want someone besides a friend or family member to process their thoughts and feelings with, while others require more intense treatment that focuses on recovery from past trauma. As your individual therapist, I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I am your guide.

Talk therapy has a time and place. Sometimes we need to vent and let out words we've been holding in for days, months, or years. But over time, after we've said what needs to be said, words can lose their power and it becomes necessary to process on a deeper level to truly heal from our wounds of the past. Experiential Therapy can take many forms from mindfully noticing and being with body sensations, to understanding the system of parts within you that motivate and inspire your actions, to acting out significant moments in your life and re-writing your experience of them through psychodrama. Experiential therapy is not only powerful but also fun! I invite you to give it a try and experience it for yourself.

Now, more than ever, we are realizing the long-term and pervasive effects that trauma can have on a person's wellbeing. Luckily there are evidence-based treatments that relieve present day symptoms of anxiety and depression through reprocessing of the past. One such modality that I am trained in is called Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Another model that I use and find highly-effective is called Internal Family Systems (IFS).
